About Akumal
Akumal is a private, supportive system-management space created to help users organize alters, journal entries, front logs, and important system information in one gentle and easy-to-use place.
Our Story
Akumal began as a personal project inspired by the need for a calmer, more organized way to track system information. Many tools can feel too clinical, too scattered, or too complicated. Akumal is meant to feel softer, clearer, and more welcoming.
The goal is simple: give systems a place to record who is who, who is fronting, what has happened, and what needs to be remembered without making the process feel overwhelming.
About the Creator
Akumal was created by someone who understands how important organization, privacy, and flexibility can be. It started as something personal: a tool that could make daily tracking easier, more thoughtful, and more useful.
Outside of building Akumal, the I enjoy reading, coding, and life with a lively household of pets. That mix of creativity, problem-solving, and lived experience helped shape Akumal into what it is becoming. I picked the name Akumal because it means "Place of the Turtles" in Mayan. I very much enjoy spending time with my wife and 8 pets. My wife is also a system and encouraged me to make this app/bot when we heard the others were being discontinued.
What Akumal Helps With
Akumal is designed to support everyday system organization. It brings together alter profiles, journaling, front logging, instructions, and account tools so users do not have to keep everything scattered across different notes, apps, or documents.
Alter Profiles
Create, edit, and organize profiles with names, proxies, pronouns, sources, likes, dislikes, triggers, and other details.
Journal Entries
Keep track of memories, feelings, events, reflections, and updates in a private written space.
Front Logs
Record who is fronting, when they fronted, mood, notes, and context that may be helpful later.
What We Value
Akumal is built around the idea that tracking should feel respectful, simple, and safe. The design choices are meant to reduce stress and make information easier to find.
Looking Ahead
Akumal is still growing. Future updates may include more detailed tracking tools, better personalization, Discord bot improvements, stronger account settings, and additional ways to organize system information.
The long-term goal is to make Akumal feel like a dependable companion for system organization: simple enough to use every day, but flexible enough to grow with each user.
